Troup County Court Records Scanning Project

We are delighted to have received one of the first NHPRC scanning grants to post 19th century court records to the web. We will share details about the each step in the project, from flattening documents to posting on the web. We are excited to be working with the Digital Library of Georgia. We are proud to be a pilot scanning project. Our goal is to move from having a few users per year to having many. We will try to update this blog every week or so. Stay tuned! Kaye Minchew, Director

New years now available

Several more years of documents were added to the Web site today. New years are from 1847-1849, 1856-1864, 1882-1886, and 1891-1900. Updated images have been added for 1831, 1832, 1833, 1835, 1836, 1837, 1838, 1839, 1840, 1865, 1869, and 1872. More than 4000 folders of court records are now available as part of the scanning project.

1878-1886
1891-1900

Metadata records for the new additions have been created and will be added to the DLG Web site soon.
